When Kristine isn't teaching she is spending time in the studio painting...

What Kristine Says about her artwork and her philosophy regarding art in her life.

I am an artist, an educator and a business owner.  I believe that the arts can empower people, both young and old, disabled or mainstream, artistically inclined or new to the arts. I love working with artists of all levels to bring out something within that they want to share.

But I am also an artist. I call my work Whimsical Maine because that is where my inspiration comes from. I try to keep it light in my works, to play with colors, shapes and compositions, so that I am not tied down by too much realism. However, I do want to honor and recognize the beauty of what I am working from and so I am constantly trying to find the balance.

I also just published my first children's book which is titled I love You to Ten.  FMI visit my website below.
